    • Greyhound Racing

      The turnstiles open at 6:00pm and the restaurant doors open at 6:30pm on race evenings.
      Racing starts on:

      Tuesday - 6.39pm
      Friday - 6.38pm
      Saturday - 7.30pm

      We also have BAGS race meetings every Monday and Thursday morning. Gates open at 10.30am . First race at 11.11am.

      We race on the following days through out the year:

      Thursday Nights (selected dates throughout December)
      Friday Nights
      Saturday Nights

  • Rother Valley Country Park

    • About Rother Valley Country Park

      From the very start recreation was an integral part of the planning for Rother Valley Country Park. With an area currently of 300 hectares the park offers extensive scope for many types of recreation.

      The Main Lake is classed as sheltered inland water, covering approximately 40 hectares. There is a purpose built Centre on the Eastern side of the lake, which offers changing facilities, toilets, showers, classrooms, reception area, first aid room and vending machines.

      A comprehensive range of Watersports equipment including sailing dinghies, windsurfs, rowing boats, pedal boats, rafting sets, cycles and a variety of different canoes are available, both for hire and for use on courses. Wetsuits and buoyancy aids for all ages and sizes are kept in stock, although you are welcome to use your own if you prefer.

      At Hallamshire we are proud of our ability to mix respected traditions with the more modern approach appreciated by members and visitors alike.

      On the course we expect players to conform with the traditional standards of golf course attire and direct you to our visitors page should you require clarification.  In the club house, Gentlemen are at liberty to wear a jacket but please note that we have adopted a ’smart but casual’ dress code throughout.  If there is any doubt about what is acceptable, please ask our friendly professional or secretary who will be only too happy to help
      After your round you will find a warm smile and a well stocked bar accompanied by freshly produced food much of which is locally sourced.  Sample menu’s will follow, so keep coming back to see what’s cooking.
